Kevin Malina, a member of VFW Post 12223 in Montgomery, TX was elected as Post Quartermaster when the post was stood up on July 01, 2023. 

Comrade Malina joined the U.S. Marine corps in 1999 and fulfilled his enlistment in 2003 with an Honorable Discharge. In 2003 he earned his VFW eligibility while serving in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom as an MP in 2003-

His awards while serving in the U.S. Marines are a Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment ribbon.
